A house on Graveyard Point Road was submerged in floodwaters on Lake Travis on July 10.

I find governmental polices with regard to Graveyard Point and other similar areas totally at odds with the free-market principles our government claims to espouse. The ordinance singles out three breeds - pit bull terriers, American pit bull terriers and American Staffordshire terriers - as vicious.
The new ordinance restricts any dangerous dog that attacks or threatens one person, in addition to requiring dangerous dogs to be locked in one pen, kennel or leashed. Any dog that attacks one person could be captured and possibly euthanized by the city. Owners must have liability ...
