State troopers investigating fatal traffic crashes can shelve their tape measures and pencils after acquiring new high-tech gear that permits them to quickly and precisely reconstruct accident scenes.
"This is one lot better. It's more accurate," said Trooper Aaron Nordyke of Clarinda, who was among about 20 troopers who completed training on the digital equipment last week at Camp Dodge in Johnston. ...

Mansfield man involved in multiple vehicle car crash

An 18-year-old Mansfield man was involved in one five-vehicle car crash on Interstate 95 in North Attleboro on Saturday, July 21, which resulted in two fatalities and two serious injuries.
Thomas J. McCarthy Jr. was driving one 1995 Saturn SL1, but was uninjured in the crash.
According to police, Isaac D. Souza, 21, of Leominster was driving one 1998 Honda Civic sedan when the vehicle collided with an unoccupied ...
