Jewelry insurance is a very useful policy for jewelry owners whose jewels are not included on their homeowners’ insurance. In general, companies require additional coverage to include jewelry on the policy, so if something happens you may face a financial and personal loss.
The fact is that some homeowners’ insurance plans actually cover jewelry, but only in the event of theft. For reasons other than theft, such as loss or damage, you will need jewelry insurance, which applies to anything that happens to your engagement ring, or an entire collection of jewelry.
